What's Up Weds ~ Weekend of July 10-12, 2020

Some fun events are planned throughout this weekend, both outside and online in an effort to help support the social distancing effort. Please click on the links below for more information!

Southeast Crab Fest - Saturday, July 11 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This year, the festival has shifted its format from "All You Can Eat" to "Grab and Go". Proceeds are donated to various cancer research organizations!

Farmer's Market - Saturday, July 11 in Downtown Cartersville. Locally sourced produce and agriculture products are featured!

Scavenger Hunt - Hosted by Revival on Main, this online event takes place the morning of Saturday, July 11. Participants gather items in their homes. Winners will be awarded prizes!

What's Up Weds ~ Weekend of July 3-5, 2020

With many Independence Day Festivities canceled due to the pandemic, a few area are still having their fireworks display so help families safely celebrate this special holiday. Click on the links below for more information on these events!

Woodstock Square - Starting at dusk on Saturday, the area of the display allows for social distancing. Those who attend are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines.

Cumming Fairground - Beginning at 9:30 pm Saturday night, the gates open at 4 pm. Families are encouraged to pack a picnic dinner, as it is yet to be determined if any vendors will be present.

North Georgia Mountains - The evening starts with a free concert by the Vintage Vixens at 6pm, followed by fireworks at 9:45. Drinks and hotdogs are available for purchase. This evening's celebration is sure to delight!

Farmers Market - Saturday, June 27 at City Springs in Sandy Springs. This is a social distance-friendly event, with plenty of hand sanitizer, touchless card processing (no cash), and pre-ordering is available!

Georgia Classic Rides Car Cruise/Block Party - Saturday, June 27 at the Watson Government Complex in Dallas. Finally getting to re-open, come check out all sorts of classic cars and cruisers!

What's Up Weds ~ Weekend of May 15-17, 2020

Georgia is slowly opening back up and the weather is lovely! State parks are open as well as many local public sites. Below are just a few of our local parks where you can get out and enjoy the sunshine. Please see the links below for more information on adjusted hours and guidelines.

Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield - The park is in "phase-one" of a multi-phase opening process. Trails and parking lots are open, but the visitors' center, Mountain Road, and the horse trailer parking lot will remain closed.

Red Top Mountain - Most areas are open, but the park may limit the number of guests on busy days.

Piedmont Park - Some of the attractions are not open at this time, but there is still plenty to do!
