2019 Christmas Village - Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2 @ Clarence Brown Conference Center in Cartersville. Featuring 79 vendors for Christmas decor and gift giving. Santa will make an appearance on Saturday!

Taste of Kennesaw - Saturday, November 2 in Downtown Kennesaw. Over 40 local restaurants will be present for guests to taste local dishes. Two stages with live music and events for the kids.

FREE Community Recycling Event - Saturday, November 2 @ Jim R Miller Park in Marietta. Paper shredding, electronics, household textiles, polystyrene, and household appliances accepted.

What's Up Weds ~ Weekend of Oct 24-27, 2019

Every Wednesday, we bring you a few events happening in our area. Click on the links below for more information!

Halloween at Hogwarts - Thursday, October 24 @ the Woodstock Public Library. Ideal for the Harry Potter fan, participants  get sorted into their Hogwarts house, make crafts, and play games! Experience is complete with choosing a pretzel wand and making a potion! For all ages.

BBQ, Brews, and BOOS! - Saturday, October 26 in historic Downtown Canton! Family friendly event with live music, BBQ food trucks, kids area, antique motorcycle show, and Trick or Treating. Kids are welcome to dress up in costumes!

Halloween and the Civil War - Sunday, October 27 @ Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield. Learn how this famous holiday is connected to changing the shape of America during the Civil War.

Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival - Saturday, October 19 in Downtown Cartersville. Family friendly event benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Bartow County. Free admission, parking, and kids' activities!

47th Stone Mountain Highland Games - Friday, October 18 - Sunday. October 20 @ Stone Mountain Park. The fields of Stone Mountain will be transformed to the Scottish Highlands. Activities for all ages. 

Haunted Walking Tour - Saturday, October 19 @ Root House Museum & Garden in Marietta. Hosted by Ghosts of Marietta, this 90-minute tour through historic downtown Marietta. Reservations can be made online.

Taste of Acworth - Saturday, October 12 from 10am to 6pm in Historic Downtown Acworth. Featuring 150 area businesses and restaurants, this event benefits local charities and schools. Along with fun food samplings (ranging $1-$4 in price), the day includes a fashion show, dog show, live music and kid-friendly activities.

Chalktoberfest - Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13 on the Marietta Square. Enjoy watching Professional Chalk Artists chalk the streets of The Square while sampling craft beer, eating great food, and listening to music by local musicians. Family friendly and free admission.

4th Annual Family Fun Day - Located at Earl Duncan Park at Paulding Meadows on Saturday October 12 from 10am to 6 pm. The event benefits Christmas Blessings and Gabriel's Place Academy. Featuring food trucks, bouncy houses ($5 for all day play), pageant, games, dance performances, and more!

ATL International Night Market - October 4-6 @ Northpoint Mall in Alpharetta. The market features 200+ independent vendors selling art, food, and drink, and featuring small-scale cultural performances, all celebrating the rich cultural diversity and heritage of Atlanta. Family-friendly.

Cemetery Living History Tours - October 5 @ the Old Marietta Confederate Cemetery. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy music by Carter Horne and Dixie Jubilee. The cemetery tour follows, where you will hear stories from many of the "residents"!

Creative Expressions Open House - October 5 from 4:00 - 7:00pm. A nonprofit formed to support the arts through education, the Art House hosts receptions and classes throughout the year. A wide variety of media and subject matters are featured and are for sale at this open house.

Glover Park Concert Series - Saturday, September 28 @ 8pm, the "Men in Blues" round out the final evening of summer concerts at Glover Park on the Marietta Square. Pack a picnic dinner and bring your own chairs for this free event!

Riverfest 2019 - Saturday & Sunday, Sept 28-29 at Etowah River Park. Over 200 arts and crafts vendors, family entertainers, concessionaires and a children's area. Admission is a $5 donation for adults and children 11+.

Chalk Art Festival 2019 - Sunday, September 29 at Piedmont Park. This family friendly event invites participants to create temporary drawings celebrating Georgia's native plants and animals. $25 admission for the family competitions. Proceeds with fund Chimney Swift tower construction.

Pizza, Pints & Pigskins: Saturday, Sept 7, 2019 from noon to 10pm at Logan Farm Park in Acworth. Pizzerias from all over Cobb County will serve their best pizza along with other fare. The festival will also include a kid’s zone, live music, and a beer garden.

Truck-a-Palooza 2019: Saturday, Sept 7 from 10am - 3:30pm at Town Center Mall lower parking lot by Sears. Will feature fire trucks, police cars, construction vehicles, and more. 

Paulding Meadows Arts & Crafts Festival: Saturday, Sept 7 from 9am-6pm and Sunday, Sept 8 from 9am-5pm at Earl Duncan Park, Dallas, GA. An Arts and Crafts festival, featuring hand made and hand crafted items.

Local Pumpkin Patches & Apple Orchards 2019

Fall is coming! And with it are only a few weekends to get out and enjoy the local pumpkin patches and apple orchards in NW Metro Atlanta. 

The air is starting to feel crisp and cool in the mornings and evenings, and the trees are showing signs of shedding their leaves. Football is back, school is in session, and that means that many local apple orchards, farms, and pumpkin patches are opening soon. Activities range from apple picking to hay rides to corn mazes and more! We've looked high and low to discover as many as possible and share them with you.
